Departing Colorado in the Fall...

While we always enjoy our time in Colorado, we decided it was probably time to continue our Desert Southwest exploration as September came to a close and the Fall colors began to set in.  Just as we were getting ready to depart though, we had a surprise visit from some great friends who happened to be passing through the area.

Todd, Shonah, Scott and Heather (taking the picture) enjoying dinner in Colorado.  Scott and Heather had just finished a complete interior overhaul of their vehicle in Michigan and were passing through Colorado on their way to Mexico for some surfing.

Fall in the Rockies provides for some beautiful colors as the Aspens get ready to lose their leaves for the season.

The drive and hike along "Aspen Alley" near Breckenridge, Colorado is one of the most popular areas for leaf peeping in Summit County.

A classic Rocky Mountain Fall scene near Breckenridge, Colorado.  We really enjoyed seeing the colors change during the numerous times we passed by this location.

Shonah attempted several pictures of the Blood Moon, which on this date was also a Super Moon and a total lunar eclipse.  The task proved to be quite a challenge, even with the help of a tripod.
