Alaska (Finally!)...

Welcome to Alaska!

After travelling through British Columbia and just a bit of the Yukon Territory in Canada, we finally made our way to Alaska in time to spend the 4th of July in Skagway, Alaska!  Skagway was once the "Gateway to the Yukon" where thousands and thousands of prospectors started their journey during the Klondike Gold Rush of 1896.

From Skagway we took the ferry to Haines, Alaska where we spent a day chasing whales on our way to and from the state capital of Juneau.  Leaving Haines, we'll be travelling back into British Columbia and then the Yukon Territory as we make our way toward Valdez, Alaska.
